Academic Writing

How can you apply the concepts of academic writing to your own writing?             I can apply the concepts of academic writing to my own writing in several ways. A reoccurring concept was to plan before writing, I think this skill can be very beneficial for my writing. Planning before writing can help my work to become more organized.             I can also apply the concept of letting other check my work to my writing.
